We are excited to announce the return of the Ankeny Kiwanis Club’s annual “A Night for Miracles” gala in 2022! We are even more thrilled to have Tom and Joan Quinlin and Dick and Sue Rasmussen join us as Honorary Co-Chairs!  We invite you to be a part of our fundraising gala to support kids right here in our Ankeny community. We are gearing up to provide another outstanding and fun event – great food, unique silent auction items, the awesome Jeff Obrecht back for the live auction, and musical entertainment by Iowa's ownDueling Pianos of Andy Anderson & Mike Leeds!

This year’s theme, “Make Your Place,” speaks to how the Ankeny Kiwanis Club helps provide a way for the kids in our community to feel empowered to make their place in the world. Everyone who supports Kiwanis, whether as a club member, volunteer, or donor, is a part of this placemaking.

That means YOU!

Proceeds from this year’s gala will add enhancements to Ankeny Miracle Park and other play areas. Planned additions include the purchase and installation of picture boards to assist with nonverbal communications and of a large, fully accessible wheelchair swing. Several years ago, Ankeny Kiwanis Club partnered with community members and the City of Ankeny to Make A Miraculous Place – Miracle Playground, the all-inclusive playground for kids of all abilities. Now, Kiwanis and the City will do a 50/50 cost share to cover the $80,000 cost of a multi-person wheelchair-accessible swing. This goal of adding the swing and communication boards has already generated a lot of excitement for kids and families!
